Adaptogens:

The main purpose of adaptogens is to help balance, restore, and protect the body. They do not have a specific action but rather help the body respond to stressors and normalize physiological functions. In other words, they increase the body's resistance to stress and buffer against its harmful effects, which makes us more resilient and healthy.

Here are some of the adaptogens we use and why we use them. 

Ashwagandha: This assists the body in managing day-to-day stress. It helps promote a sense of overall well-being.

Cordyceps: A mushroom variety that can reduce stress and regulate hormones.

Reishi: A specific type of mushroom that promotes healthy sleep and reduces stress.

Maca: This has been proven to improve mood, boost energy, enhance libido, and balance hormones.

Lions mane: The list of health benefits includes protection against dementia, relief from mild symptoms of depression and anxiety, faster recovery from nervous system injuries, prevention of ulcers in the digestive tract, reduced risk of heart disease, management of diabetes symptoms, potential cancer-fighting properties, decreased inflammation and oxidative stress, and a boost to the immune system.

Matcha: Enhance focus, cognitive function, and memory. Reduce stress, promote relaxation, neutralize free radicals and lower bad (LDL) cholesterol.

Ginsing: This has been shown to improve feelings of calmness, reduce fatigue in people with chronic illness, lower markers of stress on the body, and it has antioxidant effects. Additionally, it can improve mood and performance.
